Even in small organizations, staff turnover happens. The City of Mazeppa said goodbye to two long term employees over the past few months. Liquor Store manager Heather Groby took on a new opportunity and Jim Glander achieved a much earned retirement. Jim worked for the City in some capacity for 37 years. We will miss his knowledge and experience. Heather had a vision for the Municipal Liquor store to reach a higher potential. The City will miss the experience and vision of these individuals. The City also hopes that the next phase of their lives are filled enjoyment and success.

We have a quality individual who has moved from part-time to full time to fill the gap in Public Works and are working to hire a quality individual to manage at the Municipal Liquor store. New people can bring new ideas, new vision to the staff of the City of Mazeppa. The City may lose experience and knowledge to retirement or opportunity, but we do our best to make change beneficial.

Good luck to those colleagues who have moved to greener pastures. Congratulations to Mr. Jim Glander on a job well done. Enjoy your well deserved retirement.
