Lucille Marion Lee, 91, of Zumbro Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the Care & Rehab in Ostrander, MN.

Lucille was born October 27, 1930 in Blooming Prairie, MN to John and Emma (Erickson) Diesch. She attended rural schools and was a 1948 graduate of Blooming Prairie High School. After graduation, Lucille went on to study at Mankato Commercial College. She worked for Jostens Yearbooks in Owatonna and also worked for Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company while she lived out in Los Angeles. On December 6, 1952, Lucille married Edwin Henslin at the minister’s house in Blooming Prairie. After Edwin passed away in 1974, Lucille met Erling Lee and they were united in marriage on July 29, 1978. Most of Lucille’s life was spent on the farm, from her childhood up until the last years of her life. She always had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. Growing up some of her favorite animals were her dogs, Rex and Tuffy; her goat Corky; her Arabian horse Beauty and her pet canary. Lucille also spent many days milking cows, working in the fields and tending to the livestock. She also enjoyed working in her garden, mowing her yard, keeping a clean and organized home and she loved a great cup of coffee. Lucille enjoyed listening to country music and one of her favorites to listen to was Eddy Arnold. She was always active in church and was first a member of Lincoln Lutheran Church in Zumbro Falls and then became a member at the United Methodist Church in Lake City. Lucille was a loving and compassionate woman that was always putting others before herself. She enjoyed her simple way of life and always acted with a selfless heart. She was giving, honest, was financially astute, but above all, her true passion in life was her family. Her family was the most important thing to Lucille.

She is survived by her loving husband, Erling Lee; children, Gina Henslin of Rochester, David (Dede) Henslin of Rochester, Darrell (Colleen) Henslin of Rochester; her stepchildren, Monica (Dan) Lee-Hall of Rochester, Gwen Lee of Stewartville, Jeff (Ruth) Lee of Lake City, Mike Lee of Zumbro Falls and Alex (Karen) Lee of Minneapolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Rhonda Baldwin, her grandson, Michael David Henslin, her first husband, Edwin and her brothers, Gordon and Stanley Diesch.
