Max Gallimore, 80, of Zumbrota, MN, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Pine Have Care Center in Pine Island. Max Duane Gallimore was born December 20, 1941 in Red Wing, MN to Clifford and Maude (Hall) Gallimore. He grew up in Mazeppa and graduated from Mazeppa High School in 1959. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Kappauf on December 20, 1963.
Max enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, word searches, keeping up on the Twins and Vikings schedules/results and loved visits from his grandchildren. Max held a variety of jobs through the years ending with the Interstate Rehabilitation Center, from which he retired in 2002.
Max is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Joyce (Tom) Ramboldt of Goodhue, MN, Duane (Brandi Richardson) Gallimore of Lake City, MN, Daniel Gallimore of Mazeppa, MN, Jennifer (Karl) Poston of Pine Island, MN and Stacey Gallimore of Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Thomas (Johanna) Ramboldt, Benjamin Ramboldt, Tonya Milliken, Nina Gallimore; sister, Diane (Richard) Pencille; many nieces and nephews.
Max was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Geraldine Gallimore and Gerald Gallimore.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 15, 2022 at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Larson Chapel in Zumbrota, with Pastor Dave Mohler officiating.
