In Minnesota, we speak of the “change of seasons”, but the biggest change happens within the season not at “the change o seasons”. At the beginning of Autumn, it’s warm and sunny, and as we move toward winter it gets rainy, cold, and eventually we see snow and ice.
One of the most noticeable services the City does is snow plowing. City staff follows a pattern for snow removal: primary streets, secondary streets, alley, then walking trails. City residents are responsible for snow removal from City sidewalks in front of their homes or businesses. If walks are not kept clear, the City will remove the snow and charge the homeowner. The City appreciates the efforts property owners make to keep the sidewalks in walkable condition.
