Scott William Strain, 62, of rural Mazeppa, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2026. Scott was born to Lloyd and Arlene Strain of Rochester, who preceded him in death. Scott had a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, which shaped much of his life. Scott was a co-owner of Strain’s Bus Company and School Bus Service, along with his parents and siblings; a proud owner-operator of an 18-wheeler; and pursued many other ventures throughout his years.
Scotty’s Farewell Party will be held on Saturday, June 6, from Noon to 3:00 PM at Mac's Park Place in rural Mazeppa.
A private family gathering and internment at Grandview Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date. His sister, Sandy Schwering, is helping coordinate arrangements.
