Obituaries

ROBERT LEONARD SCHEFFLER

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Robert Leonard Scheffler, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Scheffler of Zumbrota.

Robert was born at St. Mary’s hospital, Rochester, August 30, 1954 and passed away there, Monday evening at 11:30 pm.

Surviving are his parents, and three sisters, Beverly, Carolyn and Corrine.

Gerken and Butlin Implt. Co. of Mazeppa and McKenzie Implt. Co. of Lake City will co-sponsor a Field Demonstration next Wednesday September 22 on the Fritz Klindworth farm, located quarter of mile north of Oak Center.

Red poinsettias and Christmas greens formed the background for the marriage of Phoebe Ann Ring of Minneapolis and John B. Kann of Goodhue at 11:30 a.m.  December 28, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Ring of Lake City and the groom is the son of Mrs. Rosella Kann of Goodhue.

JACKSON-MUSTY

Rev. F.J. Felton officiated at the nuptial mass for Betty Ann Musty and Vernard C. Jackson at a double ring ceremony at 9:30 a.m. December29, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Musty of Mazeppa and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jackson of Pine Island.

Obituaries

JOSEPH ROBERT OELKERS

Joseph Robert Oelkers, four-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oelkers of Mazeppa, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, January 1, at Zumbrota Community hospital. He had been ill for several months with leukemia.

Joseph was born December 31, 1950. Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother Michael, and two sisters, Deborah Ann and Barbara Jean; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Oelkers of Zumbrota and Mr. and Mrs. William Murray of Pine Island.

TED ROSENERS TO OBSERVE SILVER ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rosener, of Rochester will celebrate their 25th anniversary Sunday, January 9 with an open house.

Mrs. Rosener is the former Lena Hofschulte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hofschulte of this village.

NOTICE

A basketball meeting, for the purpose of organizing an Independent team, will be held at the gym, Sunday January 9th at 2 p.m.

Anyone interested in playing is invited to attend.
