Howard was born in Red Wing, MN on October 16, 1941. On October 12, 1968, he married Judy and they recently celebrated 55 years; together they made a home in Mazeppa. He spent all of his working years as a Farmer; raising both dairy and beef cattle.

Howard was a fun, caring and proud father. He had a way with words; had many mischievous and humorous sayings to share over the years! He enjoyed farming; Spring planting and Fall harvesting were his favorite times of the year. Howard was, as he would say, a "Jack of all trades, but master of none"- he enjoyed helping others any way he could. Card playing, shaking dice, fishing, throwing ball with the farm dog, Dots, woodworking, grocery shopping and trips to the Dairy Queen were a few of his favorite past-times. Grandpa Howard delighted in playfully teasing his Grandchildren- donuts, cheese balls, 'knuckles' and hugs were shared readily with each of the Kiddos. Howard most certainly enjoyed 'shooting the breeze' with family and friends over a cup of coffee, or even better an ice cold one- it was always 'beer-thirty' on the patio!

Howard will be deeply missed.
