Jo’s Coffee Truck

Coffee, Tea and Community is the slogan on Jo’s Coffee Truck. Owner Tara Gullickson got the idea for the venture 2 years ago when she had become disillusioned with working for corporate America and decided she would rather brew and serve coffee in her small community.

After making the decision to embark on her new adventure, she purchased the equipment and trailer. With the help of friends and family in the trades they custom built the trailer to her unique specifications. Spring of 2023 she started serving her products at Oronoco Online Auctions. She has also set up at a few weekend events around the area. This fall she relocated beside the Mazeppa BP station where commuters on Highway 60 can stop for a quick hot/cold coffee or tea of their choice while on the way to work.

Jo’s serves espresso based coffee drinks, hot/frozen cocoa, herbal teas, smoothies, refreshers, and pastries provided by Hanisch Bakery. Her coffee is locally roasted by Trail Creek Coffee Roasters of Kasson, a product she believes is the best around. She also handcrafts her own simple syrups and sauces using locally sourced ingredients. Jo’s is open weekdays and plans to be open on the occasional weekends. She chose the name in memory of her sister in law, Jolene, who passed away in 2021, and also in honor of Joe’s Arcade, run by a gentleman who operated an establishment the kids loved to frequent in Mazeppa when she was growing up.
