Concerts are good for the soul!

Posted

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been missing concerts a little bit.  The last one we went to was Tanya Tucker in February of 2020 at Hinckley Casino.  A couple weeks later, it seemed like time stopped when everything shut down.  Then we bought a fixer-upper cabin, kept super busy at work, and had a kid graduate with a big grad party to prepare for.  Now our kid buys a house with a whole list of new projects to tackle.

There’s never enough time in the day, but we need to make time!  Our first concert back was June 11th Morgan Wallen and Eric Church at the US Bank Stadium.  My son Monty asked me if I was going to sing my heart out, and my husband Mike said…I bet she will on Tuesday (when she goes to her next concert), and he was right!

Second concert up (only a few days later) was New Kids on the Block with one of my besties Amanda Oelkers Tweed (she’s from Mazeppa).  Our last concert was 2019 (also New Kids on the Block).  Just like old times and practically every time we go to a concert, we headed up to the cities that morning for some shopping.  We got to check in to our hotel early, so we could head over early to the concert for our meet and greets.  We had awesome seats!  We were so tired after being on our feet all day, we headed back to our hotel and stayed up late catching up.

Our next concert is Billy Joel for my birthday.  We are traveling for this one, and I am looking forward to it!
