Being self-employed now, I am fortunate to be able to help my family out on short notice when needed. I got a call from my sister-in-law, my 5-year-old nephew Benny had an earache and needed to be picked up (along with big sister Tessa) from Cougar Care. I headed to Zumbrota as fast as I could. Poor kid was whimpering the whole way home. I had bad earaches as a kid, I remember all too well. Tessa was so helpful when we got to their house, she knew exactly where the aspirin was and the heating pad. She got it plugged in while I was giving Benny medicine. We got him to lay down, and covered him up. Within five minutes he fell asleep. He went to the doctor, and he did have an ear infection.
