It’s hard to get away from work here sometimes. Life is busy, but you need to make time. My birthday was September 20, and I decided the three of us should take a trip to Houston, Texas to see Billy Joel at Minute Maid Stadium. I wanted to stay at the Houston Marriott Marquis which has a lazy river in the shape of Texas. Of course, the hotel was booked up the night of the concert, so we had to stay at two hotels and move. The day we moved hotels, we rented a car for two days and went to the Space Center in Houston and on to Galvaston. The day after we drove to San Antonio, which is 3 hours from Houston. We went to the Tower of Americas, rode on a riverboat, took a quick tour of the Alamo. Back to spend the last two days are our hotel in the lazy river. We loved it. It was a nice time away, and when we got back home, we were rested up and ready for the busy winter season ahead! Make the time, take the trip!
