Zumbro Falls City Council Minutes - February 8, 2023
Zumbro Falls City Council met at City Hall on February 8, 2023. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 6PM with all council members present along with Fire Chief. Scott Kennedy.
The Oath of office was recited by Phil Dennison to accept the council elected position as treasurer.
Clerk read to the council the minutes from the January meeting. After corrections were addressed the minutes were accepted by a motion from Anderson, seconded Bankers, all in favor, carried.
Treasurer’s report followed with acceptance by a motion from Benson, seconded Anderson, all in favor, carried.
Scott updated council on a new possible firefighter if accepted by the department and the granting leave of absence to Jordon Meyer. Township meeting is February 16 th at 7PM and the Fire Department Supper on Saturday Feb. 18 th starting at 6PM. All council invited to Township Meeting.
Donations presented as follows: $25.00 from David Miller for the memorial and $2,500;.00 from Chester Township for the Fire Department to be used for Fire Equipment. Motion to accept by Bankers, seconded Benson, all in favor, carried.
Brief discussion made on the responsibility for shoveling by business owners and ways to handle the situation to reduce liability.
Motion then made by Anderson, seconded Benson, all in favor, for the clerk to pay all bills presented and the meeting to adjourn.
