Clerk Chatter

Keeping things clean is a sizable portion of what City government does.  The City sweeps streets, cleans parks, provides trash bins for public areas, mows, and sends reminders to residents to do the same. April 23, the Parks & Rec committee held a volunteer clean-up day at Herb Vik Park.  Approximately 30 civic minded individuals came to clean up fallen branches, trash, and leaves to keep the parks inviting, safe, and clean. Thank you to these individuals for giving up part of their weekend to keep Mazeppa looking its best.

The City encourages everyone to keep Mazeppa looking its best by keeping your space clean. The Cleanup Day event on May 14 is a good way to get rid of unsightly items sitting in your yard. Maybe there are old appliances in your garage that could be brought to the event to make room for other equipment sitting outside that may be irritating your neighbor. To keep our town looking good, it takes a team effort from every owner and renter. Those people in the park last Saturday put in extra effort to make the community look good.  The City asks every resident to endeavor to keep the town looking good also.
